Emma Engström

Emma is a licensed physiotherapist and works broadly with back problems, muscle attachment injuries, and pregnancy-related pelvic and lower back pain. A particular area of interest is motor control – identifying and strengthening the body’s weak links, for example in the core, hips, and shoulder region.

With further training in Mulligan and OMT (orthopedic manual therapy) as well as international certification in shockwave therapy, she works extensively with manual techniques. She frequently uses shockwave in her clinical practice, especially for muscle attachment injuries and long-term issues, combining it with exercise and other treatments to help patients return to a strong and functional everyday life. Her goal is always to create long-term solutions that make a real difference, regardless of starting point.

One area in which Emma has particularly extensive experience is hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), HSD, and hypermobility. She is passionate about helping these patients understand their bodies, find stability, and build strength for a more sustainable everyday life.

After many years in Stockholm, Emma has returned to Linköping, the city where she grew up. Together with her family, she is now building a new home here.
